Things I don’t quite understand:
Nutrition information on junk food. (Pardon me; snack food). In the interest of “Truth in Advertising” shouldn’t it more properly be termed “A Ton of Fat Grams and Empty Calorie Count”? I like my junk food but c’mon… Nutrition?
The warning label on my hair dryer that admonishes “Do Not Use in Bath or Shower”. I mean, really… if someone is prone to do that wouldn’t we all be better off if they exited the gene pool? Maybe someone should invent a hair dryer that can be used in the shower? (The thought of drying my hair while all that water is pouring down on me makes me laugh anyway).
The preparation instructions on almost any packaged food that start with “Remove packaging”… Sure, I’m gonna put the paper/cardboard/plastic right on in the boiling water/oven/deep fryer. Ummm hmmm…
The instructions, printed on the BOTTOM of, say a frozen pie, that say “Do Not Turn Box Over or Store Upside Down”… Geez, ya think it might be nice to put those instructions on TOP where they can be seen BEFORE turning the box over to read the damned instructions?
Braille pads at drive-thru teller windows at the bank??? I’m all for equal access and non-discriminatory stuff and all that, but braille pads at a DRIVE-THRU?
There are a lot of things that I don’t quite understand and I’ll probably get around to addressing them sometime, but that’s it for now.
I’m gonna go take a shower and dry my hair, munch on some “nutritious” Twinkies that I deep-fried with the packaging on them and see if I can get my legally-blind neighbor to drive me to the bank. After the bank we’re gonna go to Winn-Dixie and turn some pies over.
